LARIL化合物基于PPOm纯树脂，PPE（一种直接由相关单体构建的树脂）和HIPS（高抗冲聚苯乙烯）之间的混合物。纯PPE非常难以转化，所以为了提高可塑性而创建了共混物。较为出名的混合物是PPOm。
LARIL化合物的特性可以通过以下方式轻松识别：即使在低温下也具有突出的韧性，良好的热性能和尺寸稳定性。这些性能允许在很宽的温度范围内（-40°C至+ 110°C）使用LARIL化合物。 LARIL具有突出的耐水解性，因此常用于热水接触应用。
