PA 66 WITH MINERAL FILLERS
KELON A compounds are based on PA66 neat resin, commonly formed by adipic acid and hexa-methilene diamine.
Main properties
· Excellent dimensional stability;
· Good fatigue resistance;
· Good mechanical, thermal and electrical properties;
· Good chemical resistance;
· Good wear resistance.
Notes
The available KELON versions offer different performances concerning surface appearance, fluidity, shrinkage, stiffness and impact resistance.
KELON materials can be easily painted and they are also suitable for in-line painting at 150-160°C.
KELON products exhibit a high moisture adsorption that improves toughness, but affects dimensional stability and mechanical properties.
Impact resistant grades
Impact resistant versions provide better toughness of the moulded part with no need to improve material resilience by means of conditioning methods (i.e. dipping the moulded parts into water).
Flame retardant grades
Flame retardant versions are normally made with a better thermal stabilisation that ensures a good behaviour of the material while working under load at high temperatures. Suitable flame-retardants additives can be provided with halogens or without halogens depending on the specific project requirements.
